Hello Friend, To Enter a Yahoo Public Chat Rooms/Room...

  • Sign in with your account in Yahoo Messenger.
  • Go to the Menu Bar.
  • Click Messenger. A drop down Menu will open
  • Click Join Room.
  • A New Window will be Open. Select the Chat Rooms from this Window.
  • Select the Chat Channel.
  • A New Window will open. Click Enter for this Window.
  • A New Window will Open. Submit the Code written in Upper and Lower Case Letters. Code must be the same written in the Picture.
  • A New Window will open. Noe you Entered in the Chat Room.
  • Now you can click any person's Name and start chatting with anyone you want.

try uninstalling yahoo, restart your PC, and download the newest version available. restart again, and then try to login.

Messenger is a different applicatio from chat. yahoo considers the user of the application as different, so yahoo disconects you from one application from the other

How can i chat
Login to your account by yahoo messenger, go to "Messenger" option, Yahoo chat, Join a room.
Select the room. Press enter chat after it loads and then put the verification code by using the link, After that you can chat with the people in the room.

Voice chat not working
It's clear that you are not using the correct version of Yahoo messenger, some version like Indian version doesn't support voice chat, but US version do. You can download the US version from this link http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/win/ But firstly you need to uninstall the installed version so that it'll not overwrite or retain the old version. You can actually download the latest yahoo messenger version and then login to the messenger using a valid yahoo id. To check if your yahoo id is valid, try using it in a mail.yahoo.com page and if it works there, it will work in yahoo messenger too.
