My baby Q grill has a low flame no matter what the setting is. I refilled the propane tank (it was only half empty). I just took of the hose and stuck a pin in the tiny hole to clear it (there was no blockage). What else should I do?
Agree with rjmbridge. I called the Weber support people and was told that there is a built in safety feature on the regulator that will cause the flame to burn at a low setting if the gas within the extension tube to the large tank and regulator is not allowed enough time to equalize. They suggested turning on the gas from the tank very slowly, allow about 2 minutes with the temperature control knob turned off, then turn the temp knob on and light. This worked for me.
We had the same problem. A local hardware store suggested that we turn the gas tank on very, very , very slowly. Then wait at least 15 seconds before trying to light grill. It works for us. good luck
Turn all off then turn on tank then turn on grill slowly some regulator and hoses will think its a leak if turned on too fast

Same problem low flame no adjustment. Just filled tank. BLew air on jet ports at tank end and bbq end. No grease buildup in gas flow path.
I have the same problem. My grill lights but the temp nevers gets above 200 degrees. Had the tank purged and refilled but this did not help. Grill works fine with small propane cylinder. Any thoughts

starhumpty's technique worked for me too...VOILA...the flame is now normal and adjusts! I love this Internet to solve small but bothersome problems!
