I lost my remote for my Sony CMT-NE3 CD Shelf system, and now I cannot access the Auxiliary MD function. Is there any way to access it without the remote? If not, is it possible to purchase a replacement remote?

Check its sled motor. It is the motor that helps to spin the disc inside. If disc do not spin inside, check the voltage at the terminals of this motor. If it is alright, and comes near to 5VDC, the sled motor is damaged and have to be replaced. OK.
