Hey paul its paul. I posted on here so hopefully you will give me some feedback. That is a very nice gun. One of my favorite. I'm guessing you know how to use a HVLP gun but if not here are a few tips. Make sure it is clean. Very clean. Your gun probably came with a manual, you should read it. It will help you greatly. First off, you want to have a regulator, about 40 psi is what i start with. You need a space you can practice some painting before laying down a new coat on the corvette. Haha. So next you will have a pressure adjustment knob, you want to start with this all the way closed and with the trigger pulled, just half way so just air is coming out adjust the air until it sounds even. Next you can try to spray. If it seems like the Fan, like the width is not enough you can adjust the fan, another knob, closer to the back of the gun, you ussually want about 5-6 inches of fan, if you are spraying at the normal 6-8 inches back from the piece. Last adjustment is the fluid adjustment, you want to put on a decent amount of paint, clear or primer, and not cause runs. This is going to take some practice because everyone moves at a different speed.
So you are going to have to play with your gun and figure out which knob does what. After that these instructions should get you a bit further, with some practice you will be laying down a nice paint job in no time.

There is actually very little in the gun in the way of parts. The outer front nozzle unscrews, then the inner nozzle (you need a thin open-end wrench). The fluid and air controls unscrew from the back with loose springs. The fluid needle pushes out the back and the air valve unscrews from the front side of the handle (you may need to remove the trigger to get the valve out). The only critical area is outer and inner passages of the two front components. Soak the entire gun and parts in gun cleaner for an hour or two, then blow everything clean with compressed air. Lightly lube the trigger bearing, fluid needle (not the thin part), and air valve assembly. Put a little light grease on the threads of the two controls and their springs. Don't oil anything around the nozzle. Hopefully, you found a wad of paint in the gun body after soaking it. After reassembly, check the air flow first which should not pulsate. If it does, check the air line with a blow gun--does it pulsate? Check the regulator, hose, and air filter if it does. If the air delivery is good but the gun still pulsates while painting, check the paint supply system. Hope this saves the gun--I've had a Binks gun for many years and it was well used before I got it.

If it is leaking fluid from the holes in the nozzle then the tip is not making good contact with the seat, the seat of the nozzle could also be dinged, or the tip / gun gasket might be bad. If the water is coming from the needle / nozzle seat, the needle or inside seating area of the nozzle could be nicked.

This model comes in either suction feed or pressure feed. For example a 6211-4307-9 is a suction model. There are different air caps and needles depending on feed style. I assume your'e using either a 82-545 or a 82-555 suction cup attached to the gun. Make sure the tubing is tight, and that the vent hole in top of the cup isn't clogged.
