if you mean like "turn right on Madison" as an example, you must have the tts voice selected ...that is the computer generated voices...it will not work with human voices....
go in the system setting and go to the voice option, and see if you have any TTS voices...if not, they may have been deleted..if so, go
HERE and download the web updater and 1st see if there are any updates, then after that it will give you an option to add voices...just select one or some that are TTS...after there loaded to your gps, go back in the voice option and change it to one of the TTS voices.
if you mean you have no sound at all, post back and i will help you further.
