it says write protect across screen and cant take pic SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. Slide it toward the contacts to unprotect, away from the contacts to protect.
...the write protection is on the memory card itself. You should power off the camera, take out the memory card and move the little switch at it's side to disable the write protection. Good luck,
